A Short Story About Me…

I was raised in the Mississippi Delta but dreamed of the BIG CITY. That dream lead me to study fashion at the Rhode Island School of Design. For 15 years I lived and worked in New York City.

A few interesting jobs I had:

I was the assistant designer at Maggy London in the blouse and petitie dress department. After a few years I got bored and started my own dress line under the label, Adele Abide. I sold to Barneys, Nordstroms and Neiman Marcus. I was making extra money working as an art consultant for Museum Editions were I worked with David Rockwell on the W-Hotels and helped purchase all original art for the Chambers Hotel in New York City. That lead to a meeting with Janice Feldman at a cocktail party, the founder of Janus et Cie. She offered me a job which I decided to take. It was this job that opened my eyes to the furntiure world and interiors!

After the birth of my second child my husband and I decided to sell our apartment and move to the Hudson Valley. Today I have three kids who keep me very busy, a dog named Lulu and of course my husband, Josh Pulver, who has an architecture practice in New York City and the Hudson Valley.

What I can do for you:

I want to help you create a beautiful, interesting home. I want to help you surround yourself with those items you have collected along the way. I love antique hunting and looking at everything that makes your home you. I like to edit and challange clients.

Budgets never scare me! I see it as a great design challange.

I look forward to hearing about your project and your needs. We can find a way to work together - hourly or project base. And if you need an architect I know one!

All my best,

Adele

PS. Did I mention I LOVE to cook, I LOVE to draw and I LOVE my dahlias!
